Mission Statement: The mission of the project management concentration is to complement general business management and information technology (IT) skills with a robust combination of foundational and advanced project management expertise that equips business and IT managers (from the MSM and MSIT degree programs) to effectively manage and lead a wide spectrum of projects—ranging from simple to exceptionally large and complex. The overarching goal is to emphasize and develop a blend of hard and soft skills that prepares students for management and leadership roles in any industry or work environment.

Develop advanced project management skills, earn a certificate, and get a head start on your master’s degree by successfully completing our online graduate certificate in project management. Once you have successfully completed the certificate, you may be able to apply up to 12 credits toward the online project management master’s concentration.
By completing the coursework in the online project management master’s concentration curriculum, you may be able to take the following certification exams:
